This position will also be engaged with our student practicum and will participate in creating opportunities for students to engage with industry. The candidate is expected to teach various analytics courses. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach at both the undergraduate and MBA level using both face to face and online delivery methods. Candidates will also have a commitment to academic excellence, and help champion a culture of belonging and well-being for our students. Professors of Practice typically teach three class sections (9 credit hours) per semester (1-2 sections for each course) and build relationships with industry partners to create experience-based learning opportunities for our students.  Prepares or assists in the preparation of studies and reports for future systems needs and improvements.&#xa0; Activities include developing cost estimates for capital budget planning and projects including alternative evaluations, e.g. estimates costs, schedules, community impact and risks across projects in various water and wastewater systems throughout the North Carolina service area. 
 Drives and coordinates the long-term capital plan for the assigned service area. Coordinates capital meetings with operational and environmental compliance personnel, tracking capital and reporting to senior management on capital. 
 Reviews plans and specifications for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment for the assigned service area. 
 Uses the company applications such as Powerplant and SAP to create and manage capital projects.&#xa0; Updates, maintains, and researches information in a variety of company databases including the financial information system and capital budget system for project authorization and tracking.&#xa0; 
 Prepares and/or supervises the permit applications for capital projects and ensures all required permits are obtained with necessary approvals. 
 Prepares contract bid documents, plans and technical specifications for capital projects and conducts the bid process.&#xa0; Negotiates and prepares property easements and oversees the preparation of property descriptions, survey and legal recording as required. 
 Coordinates and manages approved construction projects including high level design, schedule and budget, and construction administration.
