 Some of what you&#39;ll be doing: As an Aviation Facilities &#38; Infrastructure Principal Engineer &#8211; Civil, you will manage and coordinate airport systems with large-scale capital projects and long-term master planning to accommodate projected growth. 
 
 
 You will coordinate, plan, and implement facility-wide systems at system level, serving as an advanced subject matter expert for civil infrastructure and systems. 
 You will serve as the primary lead of critical regulatory systems and develop compliance and incident response. 
 You will lead developing and defining the asset management program for civil assets. 
 You will conduct annual inventory and verification for financial regulatory requirements and develop renewal and replacement programs for systems. 
 You will develop requirements and perform project management responsibilities for expense planning studies and present information to executive leadership. 
 You will lead the development of preventative maintenance programs for operations and maintenance of civil infrastructure and systems to maintain aviation operations and maximize life cycle of systems. 
 You will develop, maintain, and govern civil design guidelines and standards for complex or critical facility and infrastructure. 
 You will conduct the integration of new methods, systems, technologies, materials, programs, or processes including research of innovative or specialized solutions. 
 You will strategically initiate and sponsor capital programs to support comprehensive infrastructure plan and implement design vision to provide critical input to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) required capital development plan. 
 You will perform advisory and infrastructure system planning work and approve or deny variance requests to existing infrastructure. 
 You will be the subject matter expert and key stakeholder involved in sustainable framework decision analysis and total cost of ownership decision analysis tools. 
 
 Who you are: 
 
 Experienced&#xa0; &#8211; You have twelve (12) years of experience with infrastructure planning, design, integration, modeling, maintenance, construction, and/or project management related to facilities. A bachelor&#8217;s degree in engineering may be substituted for four (4) years of experience. You also have one (1) year of supervisory/lead/mentor experience including leading a project or process.&#xa0; 
 License&#xa0; &#8211; You have a Professional Engineer (PE) license. 
 Desired&#xa0; &#8211; We hope you have a bachelor&#8217;s degree in engineering. We also hope you have Water Distribution Manager (WDM) certification.

 Innovative&#xa0; &#8211; You can analyze and synthesize information from a variety of sources. You can improve processes and develop and implement innovative improvement to complex infrastructure. 
 
 What else you need to know : &#xa0; 
 
 Work Schedule&#xa0; &#8211; Your normal work schedule will be Monday &#8211; Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role. 
 Work Environment&#xa0; - This work will take place in a hybrid/in-office setting at Management&#8217;s discretion. 
 Washington State Residency Requirement &#xa0;&#8211; Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State. 
 Safety Requirements&#xa0; &#8211; You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. 
 Security Requirements&#xa0; &#8211; As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance. You will also be required to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) Customs Seal within 30 days of hire.</description>

The Area Engineer is responsible for the preparation and review of Timber Sale Road Plans, and road construction and contract compliance related to road plan contracts in association with the Region Timber Sales program. Primarily in the East Uplands Districts. The Area Engineer is responsible for completing the region forest road and fish passage inventory, planning, structure design, construction inspection, bridge inspections, road and culvert inspections, and database management. The Area Engineer develops forest road maintenance, repair, and abandonment prescriptions for completion by public work contracts, timber sales, or the region&#8217;s heavy equipment crew. Required Qualifications:&#xa0; 
 
 Bachelor&#39;s of Science degree in Civil or Forest Engineering, or other closely related field; AND two years of Forest Engineering experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
 Experience in timber harvesting, forest road layout, and logging practices. 
 Knowledge of Forest Practices and rules. 
 Experience understanding, interpreting, and creating written, oral, and graphic directions, maps, plans, drawings, and specifications within the parameters of policies, state and federal regulations. 
 Experience with contract development and contract administration for road construction, road maintenance, and abandonment. 
 Knowledge of logging and construction equipment, including construction costs, capabilities, and uses, and the time it takes to perform tasks.</description>
