Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) provides international leadership in basic, preclinical, and clinical research; medical and health sciences education; and patient care. The Division of Molecular Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics is led by world-renowned obesity expert Rudolph Leibel, and encompasses experts in the fields of obesity and diabetes, including Dr Dieter Egli, a ground-breaking stem-cell biologist.
