About the Position The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is looking for an innovative, dynamic executive to lead a fast-paced capital program through an unprecedented period of growth and transformation. 2022 was a banner year of visitation to our 215 parks and historic sites with more than 79 million visitors. Much of that visitation can be attributed to historic capital investments over the past several years. That commitment to revitalizing, modernizing, and repositioning New York’s unmatched system of state parks and historic sites is continuing with at least $200 million in capital funding allocated annually for the next several years.
