ACCI Specialty Materials is a leading chemical manufacturing company based in Linden, NJ. We are currently seeking a Summer Intern to help develop a preventative maintenance program and update the Health & Safety program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of a preventative maintenance program for manufacturing equipment
• Help update the Health & Safety program by reviewing policies and procedures and recommending improvements
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and make recommendations for corrective actions
• Assist with the implementation of new safety initiatives
• Work closely with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Participate in safety training sessions and provide input on new training programs

This is a great opportunity for a motivated student who is interested in gaining hands-on experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance and health & safety programs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and make a real impact on our operations.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related field (e.g. Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
