Research Molecular Biologist
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Western Regional Research Center, Crop Improvement and Genetics Research Unit (CIG), at Albany, California, invites applications for a full-time, permanent Research Molecular Biologist position at GS-12/13 (starting $97,490.00 to $150,703.00 per year plus benefits). The position is responsible for developing and applying biotechnological tools such as genome editing to accelerate developing and incorporating traits into breeding lines to assist breeding efforts.  The incumbent will also conduct research focused on development of genetic and genomics resources to facilitate the discovery, identification, and characterization of genes/sequences that control valuable agronomic traits (e.g., grain quality and yield, resilien
