Alexandria is looking for a Transportation Planner 2 to join our team to work on exciting projects as the city urbanizes and aims to become more sustainable and equitable. This exciting position will play many roles and work on transportation planning projects throughout the department. They will represent the City of Alexandria on a wide range of technical, non-technical and policy issues to advance the implementation of the Alexandria Mobility Plan, the City’s 2021 update to its Transportation Master Plan. The candidate will focus on bus rapid transit projects and staffing regional bodies, such as the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority and the Transportation Planning Board.
