Purpose Statement
The Quality Manager will develop and administer Quality Standards and Processes for Dexen’s products and services. This position will develop and maintain programs to assist Dexen in obtaining World Class Quality by directing the activities for Reliability, Supplier Quality and Quality Assurance during design, reliability, sustaining and field support. This position also leads the organization in the achievement of significant registration and recognition awards in quality and reliability.
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Leadership of Quality Assurance Team, Customer Quality and Supplier Quality.
Train, mentor, and coach each team consisting of managers, engineers, supervisors, and technicians and extended team members involving new techniques or quality related procedures.
Travel to Customer Facilities for on-site service and resolution as needed
Evaluate all department capabilities and protocols to ensure that they will produce product that meet world class performance levels for the industry
Development and deployment of strategic plans to assure quality standards are met
Proactively generate ideas for quality and reliability system improvements and prioritize areas of focus.
Initiate and manage Quality during develop of, testing, release, and field support of our product
Use Advanced Quality Planning tools to drive the highest supplier quality standards for all new products.
Direct the planning and implementation of on-site supplier quality reviews with suppliers during pre-production reviews to prevent supplier quality issues.
Direct the execution of test protocols occur to support the release of NPD projects, Process Changes, and cost savings initiatives.
Ensure the addition of test capabilities to ensure a robust and reliable product.
Ensure the execution of corrective actions occur when existing supplier quality issues arise and specifications are not being met.
Direct Operations in Quality to ensure effective defect free launches of new product by developing process control and data-collection procedures prior to launch to ensure quality assurance after release into production of finished products meets quality specifications and standards.
Drive corrective actions with operations in person and through communications when production issues resulting in service calls or specifications not being met.
Maintain contact with customers in quality & technical related items and encourage and obtain customer involvement.
Ensure the staffing and content provided to our customers is acceptable and delivered when the customer requires it.
Utilize the warranty and service call data to identify and implement improvements to the product.
Maintain required quality records and reports.
Promote member awareness on-site and involvement in quality areas.
Actively participate in on-going training, RCIs and Blitzes.
Clearly communicate technical information and keep senior management informed.

Education & Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 3 to 6 years of relevant quality experience is required.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of leadership / management experience in a relevant technical field.
Required Qualifications
Has worked with suppliers in a Quality Organization and is familiar with Quality and Reliability Management Systems.
Preferred Qualifications
ASQ certification in Quality Engineering desirable.
Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
